Now believe it or not, the West Africans have their own 'Project Fame'! And here is the web page: http://projectfamewestafrica.com/
Get in there, watch the videos and the performances and then let us know what you think, can they beat our very own Tusker Project Fame?!!
Before I started on this blog, I was checking on the patent issues currently plaguing the mobile phone industry (yes I said plaguing and I know some people will be against that but, I said it!) and I started thinking, supposed we patented the 'project fame' name as ours, that is Tusker's of EA's for that matter, we'd stand to win some money here!
And this is a heads up for my very creative East Africans, next time you design something or have an idea, patent it!!!!
Well, get on the West African PF page and leave your comments here While you are at it, have a patented day hahahaha!!!
Probably the best ever reality show to be created in East Africa (especially in Kenya where it all began). This is an amazing event, one of our own creation, with our own talent and in our home turf! This Blog is dedicated to making comments and creating a base for discussions on the ongoings of the Project Fame. Much thanks to the organizers and to Tusker, arguably the best beer on earth... (hey, am just being patriotic here).

RUTH MATETE WINNER OF T.P.F 5; WHAT YOU DID NOT KNOW ABOUT HER SOCIAL LIFE…
CHILDHOOD: my parents separated after they had me. I first stayed with my mother in Kakamega and moved to Nairobi when I was 8 years old. My mum became sickly and so she sent me to Nairobi to stay with my dad. Sadly, she later passed on. Since then, it has been my dad and i.
ADJUSTING TO CITY LIFE: when I arrived in Nairobi, I could only speak Luhya because I had not been to school. It was challenging to learn and speak good Swahili and English but my dad was supportive.
SCHOOLING: I went to Dr Krapf and Uhuru Primary School. Afterwards I went to Maasai Girls and St Paul’s Erusui for High School. I joined Daystar University in 2005 to study communication and I am graduating come 2013, which is next year.
RUTH AFTER WINNING SH.5 MILLION AND THE RECORD DEAL: Life has changed. People recognize me everywhere I go and many doors are opening. I thought my dream of being an artiste was very far, but is now within my reach. I also have a body guard, but only for one year (laughs).
YOU ONCE COMMENTED ON HOW HOT STEVE OF TPF 4 WAS. ARE YOU DATING: Not currently.
WHAT QUALITIES DOES RUTH FIND ATTRACTIVE IN A MAN: I love a man who smells good, is a good listener and appreciates music.
WHAT PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT RUTH: I have a phobia for heights, but I love wearing heels. I wear them everywhere. I am very cheeky. I once had a crush on Ken Ambani. I love red because I love attention. I am very daring and love to take risks.
PARTING SHOT: do not be afraid of what people say. You cannot please everyone and not everyone has your best interest at heart. Know what advice to take in and what to ignore.

The Big Thing presently in Kenyan TV's
Everybody probably already guessed it right, the Olympic games! But Kenya is not doing fine, not even in the event we are best known for! I mean we've got Boxing and Swimming which is a good addition to the fields we were already conquering. Now I cannot safely bet even my hard earned $20 that a Kenyan will win in the 1500m or 3000m race! Hell no! Judging from what I have seen, no!
But why are we doing so poorly? I have no idea? I have some suggestions and observations though! When Maiyo flopped on the hurdles and fell to the ground, no one was there to give her some moral support, not even a single team mate from Kenya! We cannot fully set the blame on her table for such accidents (or misfortunes), but surely, a coach should at least be there to encourage her, or a team mate for love's sake! We see other Olympians living and even thriving on encouragements from team mates and coaches... take the example of the Canadian Heptathlete whose coach had the encourage her to just finish the race, or the american sprinter who had to be helped through the race by his Dad. Are we Kenyans running out of love, compassion and dedication?
Why do we look like we don't know that this is the Olympics we are at? Some of our athletes are just too casual!!! If Rugby 7s was in the Olympics, we would have a shot at a bunch of medals: gold, silver or bronze!
Let's not even go there because we saw what happened in the HBC world series... same thing here too: Kenyans just lack in dedication, discipline and the seriousness to compete in the world stage! It's getting too hard out there for our casual bunch.
Now let the comments flow!
