Probably the best ever reality show to be created in East Africa (especially in Kenya where it all began). This is an amazing event, one of our own creation, with our own talent and in our home turf! This Blog is dedicated to making comments and creating a base for discussions on the ongoings of the Project Fame. Much thanks to the organizers and to Tusker, arguably the best beer on earth... (hey, am just being patriotic here).

The Penultimate Show
This is the show that precedes the last show of this year's TPF 5!!!
The competition is coming tho assign end fellows and what a close game it is! The performances proud the night were truly superb but of course there has to be one that comes up below or under par, sadly.
The contestants put up s show to remember. Personally, I think Jackson's performance was the highlight of TPF 5. performing 'si je savais' by Madilu System, Jackson put on a spectacular rendition that would have thrown the other contestants out of rhythm.
If you watched the show live, am pretty sure you have also have Ruth and Jackson as three two most possible winners of this 5th season of TPF. Ruth's performance was nothing short of breathtakingly fantastic. And out was a perfect way to end the night. She, over the weeks in the academy, has shown that she it's very able and that confidence is her middle name.
Steve and Eunice had quite a night to remember too and the judges recognized that.
Joe however was not as lucky ad Tyne others. Lucky for him though, your votes can give him a breath of life.

I hope you enjoy these videos thought they are a little out of date!
July 21st Eviction Night
Among those performing were Ruth, Steve, Sharon and Joe. For any other person watching from home, the choice between who to save and who to banish would be a hard one to make. Ruth had to be safe, whether by the fans votes or by judges hammer - her performance was outstanding! The poll that I conducted on this Blog showed the same result with 57% of the people voting to save Ruth.
Joe and Steve had amazing performances too, not to say that Sharon's wasn't. As you may have seen, Sharon has been evicted and her exit performance moved the crowed and tears were shed!
Unfortunately though, for most of us in the diaspora, missing the live show means waiting for days or even weeks to finally watch the videos!

Tuskerlager tweeted Nancy's last words as she left TPF and this is what she had to say:
'It's not the end of the road, it's the beginning of the highway' those are Nancy's last words as she leaves Tusker Project Fame
Best wishes Nancy!
Don't miss tomorrow's show because it will have the contestants performing own composed songs!!

Videos for the Fifth Nomination night performance - July 8th
That being said, have fun reliving the moments:
4th Eviction night performances - Samantha leaves
The contestants just looked awesome! Talk about transformation. Samantha did look fantastic and if you haven't seen the videos or missed the whole show, you are in for some comedy! Samantha looked so terrified of the G4S dudes. Plus, take a look at what happened at Samba.
Video 2
Eviction loomed for all the contestants and it came down to the wire for Nancy and Samantha and Sadly Samantha had to leave the Academy.... A little sad and disappointing but I think the Faculty made a great choice with Nancy.
This is your blog guys so air you comments and reactions!
There's a poll, let's see what you think about the decision to evict Samantha.

Ruth Matete - Can She Win TPF5?
Her awesomeness doesn't just end here, another article form Uganda Picks also shows that Ruth is poised to win this year - everyone knows she's got something unique.

Performances on July 8th.
Tonight TPF had some amazing performances and good shockers.... For the first time ever, Doreen is not on probation!! Is it because she was good in her performance? Certainly this time one could hear her words. But she may have been safe because some performers were just not up to task.
Jackson was a real shocker and he had an amazing performance that ensured that those who came after him had a hard time living up to his first grade performance! He did a reggae song with a twist of country music in it, now how good is that.
Now the other thing is that Nancy is on probation the second time over, and Joe is on probation, surely I did not expect that. Ruth did an awesome song and an electrifying performance - fantastic.
Probates:
Nancy
Joe
Sharon
Steve
I think that this time around, the judges had an easy time determining who goes on probation... but now who do we save?
Vote result update:
The first vote I put up was asking who among the two South Sudan contestants would go the furthest and Nancy won with a huge margin - clearly.
I am putting up a vote to decide who to save from probation among the above 4 probates - get voting!!
Next show, you can catch all the action here.

3rd Nomination Night Performances
You can catch live TV here
Just in case you were wondering, these are the songs that were performed by the contestants. They had great song choices, most of them classical, and for most of them that worked out well because it did not get them into probation. These were live at the Tusker Dome in Nairobi.
Nancy - Yeke Yeke by Mory Kante.
Nancy is just electrifying, so much confidence and self belief you can see it on her forehead!! She's something.
Joe - Fresh by Cool and the Gang.
Some how Joe always chooses these kind of songs , I think it is because he has the looks for the songs and that makes his performances seem so natural.
Ruth Matete - Anytime You Need a Friend by Mariah Carey.
She did a great job with the song and the crowd was bringing down the roof, they must really like her!
Sharon - Ndihamba Nawe by Mafikizolo.
She made it as natural as she could and it was a great performance
Jackson - Moyibi by Pepe Kale.
As Sheila said, it is hard to believe that he was struggling with dancing and singing at the same time.
Eunice - Love Me by Tiwa Savage.
Juliana wasn't impressed by this performance especially with the vocals. She has had better performances previously and things are not looking as good for her. Get texting if you want to save her!
Steve - Sina Makosa by Les Wanyika.
His performance was just fine, nothing really captivating.
Allan - E no Easy - P square featuring J. Martins.
Personally, I don't think the performance was as electrifying... That song has so much more potential and with a theme like Showtime, this song would give you some highlight reel... He had to do much better than that I believe. As Juliana said, he needs to add some twist to his performances. Gerrard nailed it with his comment that this song is a powerhouse, with African rhythm.
Samantha - Nadina by Mbilia Bel.
Now for those who did not understand what Juliana was talking about a twist to songs, this is an epitome of it. Take the song and sing it like it was your own. She owned it!
Doreen - I'll be Your Babe Tonight by Whitney Houston.
And she does it again, she chooses a song by Whitney Houston, I think she does so because she believes that she has the voice to match Whitney's. Somehow she's always having some trouble with the judges and from Ian's comments, I think she's just not audible enough. She however did a great job.
Apart from the contestants' performances, there was Jackie Chandiru from Uganda performing Gold Digger, awesome performance and also a good word of advice to the contestants. Thanks Jackie.
